What is fixed wireless internet?
Fixed wireless delivers internet through the air, not underground. It works by transmitting a signal from one of our towers to a small device installed on your home or business. This setup is quick, effective and ideal for areas where traditional wired internet isn’t practical.
The equipment, a Subscriber Module (SM), is placed on your roof or the side of your building. It connects wirelessly to a nearby Simply Bits tower to bring internet directly to your location.
Fast setup, flexible install options
Getting started is simple. Once you sign up, one of our technicians will come out to test signal strength and find the best placement. In some cases, we may use a small dish (about 24" in diameter) to get the strongest connection. If you prefer not to drill into your home, we offer a non-penetrating mount option that sits securely on your roof.
There’s no modem required. A small power adapter connects the system and you’re free to use your own Wi-Fi router, as long as it’s not an outdated DSL model or rental device.
Plans for every kind of household
When it comes to internet speed, Simply Bits is designed for what most people use the internet for—things like watching videos, browsing websites, using email, playing games or working from home. These activities mostly use download speed, which is how fast information comes to your device. Simply Bits focuses on giving you more download speed than upload speed (which is how fast you send things like files or video calls out).

- 50 Mbps download / 15 Mbps upload
- 100 Mbps download / 30 Mbps upload
For businesses, we also offer plans with speeds up to 1 Gig.
